Meet the Doctors

  • Dr. Gabriela Guadalupe Colon

I graduated with honors from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, PR in 2017 with a degree in Microbiology. Following my undergraduate degree, I was accepted and enrolled at Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC; where I graduated after an intense four-year program with an extensive background in philosophy, art and science of chiropractic. During my time as a chiropractic student, I refined my skills by attending and was certified in numerous seminars in the Gonstead, Thompson and pediatric chiropractic techniques. This allowed me to better serve my patients in their health. I am licensed by The Ohio State Chiropractic Board. I’m also a member of the ICPA and certified in the Webster Technique.

My experiences have given me a great opportunity to learn to care for a wide variety of ailments from which my patients may suffer. When I was 19 years old, my father fell very ill and passed away after a 5-year battle with heart disease. This completely changed the way I looked at health and our medical system. My father suffered for 5 years from many medications, surgeries, hospitalizations and a poor quality of life. With chiropractic, I found/experienced that people’s health and lives were changed by having a non-invasive way to heal the body.

My mission is to provide families in my community a better quality of life. I’m very passionate about what I do and I will always put 110% effort into my patients care.

  • Dr. Steven Hedges

I graduated from University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York in 2017 where I had studied Exercise Science and Psychology. After graduating from Buffalo, I decided to attend the Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina. After four intense years of chiropractic school, I graduated with an immense background in the art, philosophy, and science of chiropractic. As a chiropractic student, I attended a number of seminars in order to learn from the best in the field and perfect my chiropractic skills. Through taking seminars, I became certified in the Tonal Integrative Correction technique.  I am also a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and have a certification in the Webster Technique.  As an intern at Sherman, I worked alongside case doctors in the clinic to help my patients with an array of conditions.  These experiences have given me the tools to help my patients to reach their health goals.

I grew up showing horses competitively, and this is how I was introduced to chiropractic. My horse was having some issues with his hips and we bounced from veterinarian to veterinarian trying to pinpoint what was wrong.  After consulting with 4-5 vets, we reached out to a chiropractor who also adjusted horses. Very soon after his first adjustment he was back to normal.  Watching how the adjustments helped my horse so much was inspiring, and made me research chiropractic.  After learning more about the amazing profession, I changed my career path to become a chiropractor.

My mission is to allow my patients to achieve optimum health through chiropractic care.

I grew up in Perrysburg, New York, which is a small town in Western New York. From a young age, I always wanted to help my friends and people around me. Once I was introduced to Chiropractic, I knew I wanted to help people this way. While at Sherman, I met my now girlfriend, Gabriela Guadalupe, who is the other chiropractic at Heritage Clinic of Chiropractic. We wanted to find a town where we could call home, and we found Delaware, Ohio.  When we visited, we wanted to serve this community and become a part of it. We are so excited to be here in Delaware and begin the rest of our lives here.

For hobbies, I am a huge football fan.  I grew up in Buffalo Bills territory, so I am a diehard Buffalo Bills fan.  When I was a child, around 7 years old, I declared myself an Ohio State Buckeye fan.  I also enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, Dr. Gabby.  We enjoy trying new places to eat and going to new breweries.  We also have a young cat named Bear who likes to tag along on some travels.
